New Yacht Purchase (11/07)
Able2Sail are proud to announce the ordering of their new yacht. It will be a very well equipped Bavaria 46. It will be coded to Maritime Coastguard Agency standards and licensed to carry up to 14 people. She will be built in Germany and transported by road before fitting out at Kip Marina. Much of the work will be sub-contracted out to local companies. This could take up to a month as there is a considerable amount of work to be done, not least the installation of electronics and safety equipment. Although basically a standard yacht, adaptations will be made including hoisting points, improved access and easy to use electric toilets. Further adaptations will be on-going as we learn the more specialised needs of some of our passengers. We expect to take delivery of the yacht in February and hope that she may be in the water by April. Updates of her progress will be available on our website.
