Fundraising Ceilidh (11/07)
Wow, I think half of us are still dizzy from all the spinning, reeling and lively dancing at Partick Burgh Halls on November 9th- scene of the Able2Sail 2007 fundraising ceilidh. What a night it was, with guests from as far afield as France and Latvia joining us locals for dancing, singing and (sensible???) drinking in a great venue and atmosphere.
Huge thanks must go out to the band ‘Kilter’ who impressed everyone in attendance with their vim and vigour. From all the classics to their own take on some popular songs (my favourite being Leona Lewis from X-Factor’s ‘Bleeding Love’) they really got the crowd up on their feet enjoying themselves! Also a big thank you to everyone that donated prizes for the raffle. These generated more excitement on the night with so many excellent prizes available to win. See you all next year!
