Billy Connolly becomes Able2Sail patron
After his guest appearance at our official yacht launch, Billy Connolly has agreed to become Able2Sail Charitable Trusts patron.
Impressed by the remit of the charity to provide sailing for the disabled and by the enthusiasm and commitment of the volunteers and guests, Billy was delighted to put himself forward as the patron of our relatively young charity.
Billy took time out of his busy schedule to launch our new yacht, a Bavaria 46’, at Kip Marina on the 19th May. The event was a huge success, with Billy entertaining the crowds of volunteers, clients and sponsors in attendance with stories from his past, while also conveying his enthusiasm for the charity.
